MEMBERS CHOOSE THE THEME
The annual theme for San Francisco Pride is a deeply community-driven process, selected through a democratic vote by its official members. Each year, SF Pride puts out a public call for theme submissions, inviting individuals and organizations to propose ideas that capture the current spirit, struggles, and aspirations of the LGBTQ+ community. After the submission period closes, the list of potential themes is presented to the dues-paying members of the San Francisco Pride organization. These members then cast their votes for the theme they feel is most resonant and powerful for the upcoming celebration, ensuring the central message of Pride is a direct reflection of its active and engaged community.
