Welcome! You live within or nearby the secure perimeter of the San Francisco Pride celebration. This two-day event brings a vibrant atmosphere with a parade, festival, and many activities. Here's some helpful information for you:
If you are located in the red zone, your residence is within the secure perimeter, and you will have to present ID or go through security. The yellow zone is impacted by street closures, but outside of security. Residents along Market street will primarily be affected by the closure of Market on Sunday for the parade.
Event Schedule: The festival at Civic Center runs on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. The parade takes place on Sunday morning, typically starting at 10:30 am and lasting until around 4:00 pm.
Increased Noise Levels: Expect louder noise levels throughout the weekend, especially during the parade route and festival hours.
Foot Traffic: Be aware of a significant increase in foot traffic around your residence. Streets may be crowded, especially during peak hours.
Security: There will be increased security presence throughout the event. If you see anything suspicious, report it to security personnel immediately.
Restrooms: Public restrooms will be located throughout the festival area. However, these may have long lines. Consider using restrooms within your residence if possible.
Parking: Street parking will likely be limited during the event. If you have a designated parking space, be sure to use it.
Public Transportation: Public transportation is highly encouraged. Increased frequency of trains and buses is expected during the event.
