We Want Your Suggestions for #SFPride51 Community Grand Marshals!

Who are the LGBTQ+ leaders whose dedication and hard work have caught your eye this past year? Who in your community would you like to see acknowledged?

San Francisco Pride wants to hear your thoughts on who should be honored as a 2021 Community Grand Marshal!

Suggest an individual or organization here before 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10.

And be on the lookout for our announcement of what #SFPride51 will look like, in the weeks to come.

Community Partner Spotlight: Okan Sengun

As part of our Pride 365 initiative, we’re looking to connect you with the Bay Area’s LGBTQ+ communities all year long. We’ve launched a Community Partner Spotlight, and our first conversation is with Okan Sengun, founder of the LGBT Asylum Project.

His organization is set to drastically increase the number of LGBTQ+ refugees and immigrants it serves this year, plus he’s started a YouTube channel to help people navigate the process. Read more about his work at sfpride.org/cps

Inside Pride: Fred Lopez and Carolyn Wysinger

We have revived our Pride Month magazine, Inside Pride, and transformed it into a regular video series!

Watch SF Pride Executive Director Fred Lopez and Board President Carolyn Wysinger in conversation as they discuss the future of our organization as we plan the festivities during a year when large-scale gatherings are not yet possible.

Stay tuned for the next episode, a chat between Carolyn and the incredible activist and drag performer Honey Mahogany.

OpenHouse Survey for Older Adults

OpenHouse, San Francisco’s esteemed organization serving LGBTQ+ seniors, is conducting a survey on aging during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Study results will be shared with city agencies, such as the San Francisco Department of Disability and Aging Services (DAS) and the Department of Public Health, as well as community nonprofits that support older LGBTQ adults to help inform both policy and programs.

Responses are anonymous and any identifying information will be deleted.
