San Francisco Human Rights Commission Attn: RFP 100: Bold and Visible Program
Dear Human Rights Commission Review Panel,
It is with genuine enthusiasm that I write this letter in support of San Francisco Community Health Center’s (SFCHC) application for the Bold and Visible Program. This initiative to expand access to affirming health and wellness services could not be in better hands.
As the Executive Director of San Francisco Pride (SF Pride), I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with SFCHC over the years and have been continually inspired by their unwavering commitment to serving our most marginalized communities with care, respect, and integrity. Their programs are thoughtfully designed with and for communities of color, LGBTQI+ individuals, and people experiencing homelessness — and are deeply grounded in cultural competency and lived experience.
What sets SFCHC apart is their community-driven approach. From leadership to frontline staff, their team reflects the people they serve and brings a healing justice framework to every aspect of their work. This lens of dignity and empowerment is evident not only in their services but in the trust they build within the community.
SFCHC has proven time and again that they have both the heart and the infrastructure to deliver impactful, sustainable programs. Their ability to manage complex grants and partnerships while providing critical health, mental health, and social services speaks to their strength as an organization and their deep sense of responsibility to the people they serve.
The impact of SFCHC’s work is far-reaching. They’ve expanded access to affirming care, strengthened support for gender-affirming services, and become a trusted resource in communities that have long been underserved and overlooked. Their work is vital to the health and well-being of our city.
I wholeheartedly support SFCHC’s application and have full confidence in their ability to carry out the important initiatives outlined in this proposal. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need any additional information.
Warm regards,
